Ride widening for the benefit of butterflies, wild flowers, etc in this 100-acre ancient wood near Gainsborough. A paid task. We will be returning again in February. Meet at the wood entrance

Sunday 17th BRIDGE FARM, SNITTERBY (Private Organic Farm)
We will be coppicing and replanting a length of hedge to regenerate it as a wildlife corridor. Bonfire and organic soup provided. Get away from all that Christmas build-up! Meet at Bridge Farm

Sunday 14th SCOTGROVE WOOD (Lincolnshire Limewoods Project)
Ride widening and coppicing in this wood of Small-leaved Lime, a Lincolnshire speciality, for the benefit of insects, wild flowers etc. A paid task. We will be returning again in March. Meet at the wood entrance next to Scotgrove Farm.

Sunday 21st CROSS O’CLIFF HILL ORCHARD (Lincolnshire County Council)
A variety of tasks as we remove scrub re-growth, replace dead trees and plant a length of hedge. All to help preserve this traditional Lincolnshire pear orchard within the city boundary. Meet at the entrance on Cross O’ Cliff Hill.

Sunday 18th CHAMBERS FARM WOOD (Forestry Commission)
Coppicing Blackthorn for the benefit of the Brown Hairstreak butterfly, which lays its eggs on the regrowth. Numbers have increased due to our efforts. We will be working with Butterfly Conservation. Meet at the new Education Centre

Sunday 4th WHISBY NATURE PARK (Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust)
Continuing our work from last year, reducing the profile of Bruce’s Island for the benefit of roosting water birds, plus work on the two kingfisher nesting sites we created last year. Meet at the Warden’s office (past the Natural World Centre).
