This task was at the Millennium Green in North Hykeham, an old quarry site now turned into a nice green space.
The work was clearing the path along the side of the lake, cutting back trees
growing over the path and felling several large trees that were blocking the
view of the lake in selected places.
Another task, that initially seemed straight forward, but proved to be tough going, was to cut off the new redundant tree grads from around the rapidly growing trees and hedge.
All these trees had been planted only a few years ago when the millennium green
was established, very few seemed to have failed to grow, so there were an awful
lots of tree guards to be removed.
